The most powerful proof of God’s work isn’t carved in stone or padded into a list of credentials. It’s a life that’s being changed from the inside out. We sit with 2 Corinthians 3 and let Paul’s words challenge our assumptions about what “spiritual maturity” really looks like, especially when growth feels slow or invisible.
We talk through Paul’s contrast between the old covenant and the new covenant: the law reveals God’s holiness and exposes our need, but the new covenant in Jesus Christ brings life through the Holy Spirit. Where rules can diagnose what’s broken, the Spirit empowers real transformation. That’s the heart of Christian spiritual growth and sanctification: not self-powered improvement, but grace-fueled change as we remain close to Christ.
We also highlight one of the most freeing truths in this chapter: the veil is removed in Christ. We are not kept at a distance. We are welcomed into God’s presence with freedom and confidence, and as we draw near, the Spirit steadily reshapes our thoughts, words, and actions to reflect the character of Jesus. The reflection ends with simple declarations of faith and a prayer asking God to keep doing his transforming work in us.
