100 Songs: 1986 - Ep. 7 - The Primordial Ooze of Alt-Country

This time on 100 Songs; 1986, Chris wants to plot the map for the beginnings of what would grow into alt-country, a genre that would thrive in the very late '80s and particularly through the 1990s. We hear from artists including Dwight Yoakam, The Feelies, Steve Earle and Emmylou Harris, among others. *** Yes, we have a new podcast. We are going through 100 songs released in 1986, picking one song per artist in an attempt to tell the story of a wild and oft-changing year in music. With each episode we (Tim and Chris) alternate with a 10-song theme.
