Description
What people couldn’t see was that there were months when I wasn’t paying myself.
I was living off savings while investing roughly $100K into coaches, programs, websites, marketing, consultants, team members and strategies, trying to figure out how to turn the clinic into a profitable business.
Some of those investments helped.
Some didn’t.
And eventually, the money wasn’t even the hardest part.
My confidence started taking a hit.
I questioned whether I was actually good at business. I chased niches that looked profitable. I changed things because other entrepreneurs seemed to have figured out something I hadn’t. I worried about low-revenue months, patient outcomes, reviews, team mistakes and whether I had made a huge mistake leaving a stable career.
Meanwhile, social media was full of entrepreneurs celebrating $50K months, six figures and seven figures.
And I kept wondering:
Where are the stories about the months you were scared?
This is that story.
Part 2 is about the side of entrepreneurship people rarely post: the losses, the shame, the overthinking, the comparison, the expensive mistakes—and what finally started changing when I stopped looking outside my own business for every answer.
Because people love asking entrepreneurs how much money they made.
Nobody asks how much money they lost learning how to make it.
