Hope so because this episode is nothing short of a disco dance party celebrating the joy and growth the podcast has experienced over the last 12 months. “Happy Friday, HMOmies! Today is August 21 and it’s a great day to learn something new. The lunch ladies are serving grape jelly Uncrustables and iced brownies for lunch, and don’t forget - any Ramones records found during our mandatory drug testing will be added to the ever-growing bonfire in the courtyard. Let’s make today amazing!!” Woohoo! It’s back to school season and Hear Me Out went all in this week like a cheer squad on speed. During first period, Aileen & Nicole cover the usual with what they’ve watched since the last episode with some assignments even fitting the episode’s theme. That’s gotta be worth extra credit, right? For the first exam, Nicole cheated her way through the finer points of The Ramones in Rock’n’Roll High School followed swiftly by Aileen’s smoke-filled thesis on 2010’s High School. What? Pop quizzes and trips to the nurse’s office round out the day with one final Blimpets presentation in the gymnasium before class is dismissed.
