Philippians - Part 4: The Mindset of Jesus

How do we live in a way that reflects Jesus, whatever happens? In Philippians 2:1–11, Paul reminds the church of everything they've received through Christ—encouragement, love, fellowship in the Spirit, tenderness, and compassion. But he doesn't stop with what we've received. He challenges us to allow those same things to shape the way we treat one another. In this message, we explore what it means to have the same mindset as Jesus. Though He was in very nature God, Jesus humbled Himself, took on the nature of a servant, and willingly gave His life for us. And through His resurrection and exaltation, we discover the hope that makes it possible for us to live with that same humility and selfless love. Following Jesus means more than believing the right things. It means allowing His love to govern our attitudes, priorities, and relationships. Because when our lives belong to Christ, we no longer need to fight for our own importance or insist on getting our own way. We can humble ourselves, serve others, and trust our future to God.
