What Ship Are You On? (Wollace Tavares)

Is church a cruise ship—or a cargo ship? And which one are you on? A cruise ship is all about the passengers: What do I want? What do I enjoy? What can I get out of this? But a cargo ship has a mission—it carries something valuable to people who need it. That picture gives us a powerful way to think about the Church. In this message, we explore the biblical role of pastors to equip the saints for the work of ministry and the calling of every believer to actually do the work of ministry. At Hillspring, ministry isn’t something a few people do while everyone else watches. We’re all part of the crew! God has given each of us gifts, opportunities, and a role to play as we serve others and bring the hope of Jesus to the people around us. So here’s the challenge: What ship are you on? And where might God be calling you to jump in, serve, and be part of what He’s doing? Enjoyed this episode? Subscribe to the podcast and leave a review to let us know what you think!
