39. Film Club: United 93 (2006)

With the 25th anniversary of 9/11, a day that will live in infamy, we are bringing UNITED 93 to the pod, as Alec and Tim join to talk about Greengrass movie. No film stars appear, just really good actors and, remarkably, people who served in Air Traffic Control and NORAD on the day. For those listeners who are sickened by the adverts that I’m forced to add to this podcast, I have an answer for you. AKOUVA is a new adfree facility for you to listen to the History Book Club without those pesky ads. Simply use the Promo Code HBC at this link, and you can then avoid being subjected to financial services companies trying to persuade you to part with your cash. You get the first month free with the code, then after that it’s a mere £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year. Alec Marsh at the Telegraph The Onion: 9/11 Hijackers Surprised to Find Themselves in Hell Our Awards - which are not all relevant to United 93 Best Performance Most Egregious Overracting Biggest Plot Flaw Historical Inaccuracy What if Tarantino Made It?
