Hockeytown West Podcast

The Toledo Walleye season is here! This Toledo episode we dive into the teams 6-3 loss as the team opened up the season on the road in Fort Wayne. After the Ad break we take a look at a few story lines across the ECHL.

Week three of AHL action is in the books and the Grand Rapids Griffins sit in first place in the American Hockey League just like they did at this time last season and it looks like John Leonard is back to how he was last season having five goals and one assist in just three games back from injury. The Griffins took on the Rockford Ice Hogs over the weekend in a Saturday and Sunday home and home series where the Griffins walked away with two big wins that included a shutdown performance from Trey Augustine, Jesse Kiiskinen's first AHL fight, Carter Bear's second pro goal, Michal Postava continuing his electric start to the season and a whole lot more!

On this weeks Toledo Walleye update we break down the teams opening night roster! The big news is the signing oh longtime AHL veteran Chris Terry! Toledo also went 2-0-0 in their preseason play and we break down the two wins vs the Kalamazoo Wings.
