Description
Hold the Moment is busting open some honest conversations about dementia and this time we’re doing it at a live show at the Sydney Opera House!
It’s time to talk about dementia – because it’s now the leading cause of death in Australia. Talking to your friends, your family and your co-workers about dementia helps everyone.
At this special recording of Hold the Moment in front of a live audience for Dementia Action Week, Jim Rogers and Hamish Macdonald welcome a panel of special guests to share their unique perspectives on dementia.
Actor and Dementia Australia Ambassador Jessica Redmayne unpacks the common misunderstandings about dementia and age, researcher and clinician Associate Professor Anita Goh shares tips on maintaining your social life after a diagnosis, and Dementia Advocate Heather Cooper explains how exercise and optimism allow her to live a full life with dementia.
Plus, legendary songwriter – and Dementia Australia Ambassador - Mark Seymour from Hunters & Collectors plays a song he wrote in tribute to his mother, who lived with dementia.
