1 Kings 19:19-21 Pastor Joe Gonyea and his wife, Elyse, shared about their mission calling to Japan. He then gave this sermon about Elisha's calling to lay everything down and to give all to the service of God. God has called us all to be missionaries where we are. Once we realize that, we need to stop holding on to the things of this world and give our all to our mission, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 1:21-23 Paul makes clear the nature of our reconciliation with God because of the blood of Christ. He contrasts our life before that as one of alienation, hostility and evil actions, with our new life, which is holy, faultless and blameless before God. We need to remember who we were, rest in what Christ has done, and remain grounded in the Gospel. Website: immanuelde.comFacebook: immanuelchurchwilmingtonYouTube: Immanuel Church Wilmington DE

Colossians 1:15-20 As Paul continues his letter to the Colossians, he emphasizes the centrality of Christ as God. "All things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and by him all things hold together." When the world is in turmoil, we can take solace in the fact that He holds all things together. He reinforces that Christ is the Head of the Church, and that He reconciled everything to Himself, making peace through His blood. Colossians 1:9-14 As we continue our series on Colossians, we see Paul challenging us to spiritual maturity. Maturity begins with knowing God's will and shows up in how we walk. A mature Chistian depends on God's power and remembers what the Father has done. He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. We must continue to give Him first place in everything. Website: immanuelde.comFacebook: immanuelchurchwilmingtonYouTube: Immanuel Church Wilmington DE

Colossians 1:1-8 We begin a new series covering the book of Colossians, a letter from Paul to the church in Colosse. He begins by complimenting the church on its faith, love and hope. He then emphasizes the need for Christ to not only be important in our life, but first place in everything. The Gospel gives us a new identity and a new life. If he is preeminent in our life, we will bear fruit. Website: immanuelde.comFacebook: immanuelchurchwilmingtonYouTube: Immanuel Church Wilmington DE
