Description
The San Antonio Spurs are giving fans plenty to talk about before opening night, but Rudy Jay says the Oklahoma City Thunder have found their Wemby stopper! Mike Taylor and Rudy break down the Spurs' preseason performance against the Phoenix Suns, including Mitch Johnson starting De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, and Dylan Harper together. The guys debate whether that lineup makes San Antonio better, who should lead the second unit, and why Victor Wembanyama attacking the basket could make the Spurs nearly impossible to stop.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are doing Dallas Cowboys things again. Jerry Jones says defensive coordinator Christian Parker is moving to the coaching booth, but Brian Schottenheimer says no decision has been made. Mike and Rudy wonder who's actually running the team and whether Schotty is finally pushing back against Jerry. Plus, Steve Sarkisian and Mike Elko are catching heat, Marvin Harrison Jr. gets a fresh start with the Houston Texans, Troy Aikman's ESPN future becomes a talking point, and Mantertainment News returns with some absolutely wild stories.

Key Moments:
The Spurs actually start all three guards! After discussing the possibility on Wednesday's show, Mike and Rudy watch Fox, Castle, and Harper take the floor together. Rudy questions whether one of them would be more valuable running the second unit.
Dylan Harper gets HUGE praise. The guys marvel at his putback dunk and discuss just how talented he could become. Mike emphasizes that Wembanyama remains the franchise's untouchable centerpiece.
Rudy declares that OKC has a Wemby stopper. He introduces Aday Mara as Oklahoma City's answer to Victor Wembanyama, then admits he's trolling. The guys are already looking forward to the matchup.
Wemby has Rudy ready for a championship parade. Rudy loves seeing Victor attack the basket instead of settling for jump shots and jokes that San Antonio should start preparing the riverboats if he keeps playing that way.
Jerry and Schotty aren't on the same page. Jerry Jones publicly discusses moving Christian Parker upstairs, only for Schottenheimer to push back. Mike calls it one of his favorite Schotty moments of the season.
Mike Tomlin exposes the Cowboys' culture problem. The hosts compare Tomlin's comments about players-only meetings with Schottenheimer's positive reaction and question why everything in Dallas becomes public.
Mike blasts Sark's quarterback development. He argues that Quinn Ewers regressed at Texas and worries Arch Manning could follow the same path unless something changes.
DAZN gets PUNCHED. Mike says the Spurs broadcast had no audio until four minutes remained in the first quarter. After paying for the streaming package, he wants the service to get its act together.
Throwback Thursday gets ridiculous. Mike brings back footage of Rudy sliding through barbecue sauce to pay off an old bet. Rudy counters with video of himself attempting a field goal in tight jeans and boots. It does not go well.
Mantertainment makes its return. The guys discuss reports of a prison fight involving Diddy, a tragic celebrity story, a roller-coaster accident, and upcoming San Antonio concerts featuring Lil Wayne, Marilyn Manson, Modest Mouse, and the Chicks.
The football picks are in. Rudy enters with three weekly wins, Pelón has two, and Mike is still looking for his first. Their selections split across college football and the NFL, including a Cowboys-Packers matchup that has the guys nervous.
