Episode 307: THE BODY AS A SCOREBOARD: How God Heals the Invisible War with Amanda Curry Interview ❖ 307

What happens when your theology is sound, your prayers are faithful, but your body is still locked in survival mode? “Safety is predictable and reliable.” In this grounding episode of the Interviewing Jesus Podcast, host Kristen Wambach sits down with Dr. Amanda Curry to pull back the curtain on the silent toll that prolonged striving, unresolved trauma, and unspoken dread take on the human frame. When we live from the neck up—praying for everyone else while privately wrestling with an internal fight—the nervous system keeps score. Together, Kristen and Dr. Amanda explore the sacred intersection of somatic awareness and spiritual intimacy. The body is not a disposable rental; it is the temple of the Holy Spirit designed for felt safety, deep breath, and genuine communion. Moving from the breakdown on the kitchen floor to practical, Monday-morning rest, this conversation demystifies what it means to support your nervous system so your spirit can finally receive the peace Jesus promised. God does not demand that an exhausted child manufacture faith. He steps directly into the room, remembers your frame, assumes the guard, and gently teaches your body how to unclench. In this episode, you will discover: Why theology without embodiment leaves the nervous system trapped in survival. The five self-protection patterns and how to reframe safety when your past was unsafe. The body as a temple versus a rental: why somatic support is foundational to hearing God's whisper. Moving from spiritual performance to true partnership with Jesus. 🎶 Music Video: Where Great Grace Takes Over | I Receive "Soaking Somatic Tone" Practical keys for interoception, breathwork, vagus nerve support, and grounding your feet on holy ground. 👉 SUBSCRIBE TO KRISTEN'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL NOW 👈 ✅ INTERVIEWING JESUS SHOW NOTES: GUEST LINKS AND LISTENER RESOURCES 👏 Purchase How Good Is God Book (AMAZON) (BARNES & NOBLE) (USA DIRECT FROM KRISTEN) ➡️ Connect with Kristen on Social Media 🌲 LinkTree 💌 Want to be a guest on Interviewing Jesus?
