Description
If you or someone you know needs immediate emotional support, call or text 988. More information about suicide prevention and AFSP programs is available through AFSP.org.
Tristan Ross joins JJ Meets World for an extended conversation about suicide prevention, mental health, grief, and the work of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention North Dakota Chapter. Tristan discusses prevention education, 988, Out of the Darkness Walks, workplace and school programs, advocacy, support after suicide loss, warning signs, veterans, young people, barriers to treatment, and the importance of connecting people with resources before and during a crisis.
JJ, Tucker, and Tristan also examine how communities can talk more openly about mental health, how workplaces and trusted adults can recognize changes in the people around them, and why prevention requires sustained education, funding, research, and advocacy.
