Description

Introduction: Hello everyone and welcome to episode #16 of the podcast. This week I will be doing a recap of the Chase race from last weekend at Kansas. Talking Points: Will Kyle Larson dominate again at Kansas? Will Denny Hamlin regain the points lead at Kansas? Will a driver outside of the top 6 in the Chase standings win at Kansas? What will the Chase standings look like after the race at Kansas? Driver Race Recaps: Chase Briscoe: - Chase Briscoe's biggest moment of the race at Kansas was overtaking the lead from Larson, with less than 40 laps to go in the race - Briscoe looked like he was going to seal the deal, until he got loose with about 10 laps to go in the race - Briscoe had to start at the back and it was impressive to see how quickly he moved up through the field - Briscoe has hope to maybe win the championship, though he is going to have to win at least two or three races to make that happen Denny Hamlin: - Denny Hamlin lost the points lead on Sunday after Larson practically dominated the entire race at Kansas - Hamlin now sits 26 points back to Larson with 6 races still to go in the Chase - Hamlin is not out of it, though he is going to have to win at Vegas, and have no more mulligans the rest of the way - Hamlin has faith in himself and his team, but he is going to have to execute every single race from here on out Christopher Bell: - Christopher Bell had an ok race at Kansas, but he did not have a car capable of competing with Larson for the win - Bell is not satisfied with his top 10 result, and he looks to have strong runs at Vegas and Charlotte - Bell still has confidence in himself and his team, and he is going to have to execute at these next two tracks - Bell should not be overlooked as he usually comes through in big moments, and he is going to have to do it once again Ty Gibbs: - Ty Gibbs started the race up front, and he did not gain enough stage points throughout the race - Gibbs not winning the race at Bristol really hurt his shot at winning a championship - Gibbs is not out of it yet, and he is going to have to have great performances in these next few races - Gibbs has been resilient all year, and he is going to have to be once again, to prove he still has a chance at competing for a championship Headlines: - NASCAR heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this coming weekend otherwise know as "sin city" - Vegas is always a pivotal race in the playoffs, as the stars usually shine bright at the intermediate track - Look for drivers such as Larson, Hamlin, Logano, and Bell to be contenders for the win on Sunday - This is a race you won't want to miss as it could be a decider in who might be the champion in Miami Outro: That is it for episode #16 of the podcast. Thank you all for listening and I will see you next week for episode #17 of the podcast
