Description

Introduction: Hello everyone and welcome to episode #19 of the podcast. This week we will be talking about the race from Phoenix last weekend. Talking Points: Would Denny Hamlin have a clean day at Phoenix? Would Chase Briscoe win 3 races in a row? Would anyone from below the top 5 in the Chase standings win at Phoenix?  What would the Chase standings look like after the race at Phoenix? Driver Race Recaps: Denny Hamlin: - Denny Hamlin started the race strong in 4th place, but he fell back early in the race - There was a point in the race where Hamlin gained points back in the standings, due to Larson's bad day overall at Phoenix - Hamlin's day ended poorly due to a speeding penalty entering pit road late in the race, and a flat tire in the last stage Chase Briscoe: - Chase Briscoe had a good day at Phoenix, but not great compared to the last two races - Briscoe just did not have the pace to keep up with Blaney and Bell who were strong all day long - Briscoe managed to finish in 8th place, and he gained some points on the day which was very positive Christopher Bell: - Christopher Bell was very disappointed once again after the race at Phoenix, knowing he had a winning car - Bell led some laps and had the pace he needed all day, but things did not fall his way in the end - Bell gained some points though, and he hopes to take the top spot from Larson at Talladega this coming Sunday Ty Gibbs: - Ty Gibbs had a good race at Phoenix, as he managed to earn some stage points during the race - Gibbs had a fast car and he was up front battling with some of the top cars all day - Gibbs hopes to finish the last 3 races strong, and show that he will continue his momentum next year Headlines: - NASCAR heads to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for a wild packed weekend in the Chase - This race has a lot of unknowns, which could shake the whole Chase field up after the race - Look for the Penske trio of Logano, Blaney, and Cindric to be good at Talladega as well as Chase Elliott - This is a race you won't want to miss as there will be an exciting finish in the end Outro: That is it for episode #19 of the podcast. Thank you all for listening and I will see you next week for episode #20 of the podcast
