Description

Introduction: Hello everyone and welcome to episode #11 of the podcast. This week we will be doing a recap of the Daytona race from last weekend. Talking Points: Would a driver from below the cutline make it into the Chase? What would the new package look like for the race at Daytona? Would there be a dramatic finish at the end of the race? What would the Chase standings look like after Daytona/ Driver Race Recaps: Denny Hamlin: Denny Hamlin played the fuel strategy game right with the new package at Daytona Hamlin had a fast car, but he did not make a move to the front until the end of the race Hamlin ultimately finished outside the top 10, but he kept himself out of the chaos all day long. Chase Briscoe: Chase Briscoe had a fast car all night long at Daytona Briscoe was at the front, and he led some laps during the race Briscoe did not have enough pace to keep up in the long run, to potentially win the race Christopher Bell: Christopher Bell had a decent race, though not one of his best races overall Bell stayed out of trouble, but he did not gain many points on the day Bell finished inside the top 20, as he is ready to move onto the Chase Ty Gibbs: Ty Gibbs had an ok car at Daytona, though it definitely was not a winning car Gibbs unfortunately got caught up in a wreck during the race, which cost him a chance to gain valuable points on the day. Gibbs did not finish the race, but he is still confident entering the Chase this Sunday. Headlines: NASCAR heads to Darlington otherwise known as “The Lady In Black” this coming Sunday at 5:00pm This race has been a great place to see which driver stays mentally strong to ultimately win the race Some drivers to watch for are Chase Briscoe, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, and Joey Logano This is a race you won’t want to miss, as it will set the standard for who starts the Chase strong. Outro: That is it for episode #11 of the podcast. Thanks everyone for listening and I will see you next week for episode #12 of the podcast.
