A sweeping conversation on power, money, and the systems running the world — starting with what Simon Dixon calls "the mask off moment," where things once hidden are now openly admitted: algorithmic social control, social credit scoring, and the deliberate radicalization of people into the most extreme version of their own ideology. He traces his own path from losing everything in the dot-com bust to starting as a "tea boy" at TD Waterhouse, becoming a stockbroker and market maker, and eventually describing his own job in finance as manipulating share prices while always sitting on the other side of his clients' trades.
From there, Dixon goes deep into how the global financial system actually works: how BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard effectively manage the world's money, how banks create new money every time someone takes out a loan, why proximity to "the money printer" is the single biggest financial advantage that exists, and his claim that a "forever war" being more profitable than peace is exactly why wars continue — echoing the old idea that war is a racket. He describes the "compromise game," being tested with a gradual ladder of things people can be compromised with, and a story he calls "the grip of death" involving an author who disappeared. He connects all of this to the Federal Reserve's creation alongside the income tax in 1913, World War One, the Great Depression, World War Two, the 1933 gold confiscation, and the simple fact that America's mainland was never bombed — which he argues fundamentally shaped the 20th century.
The conversation goes even deeper into banking history: the modern system's roots in the Bank of England, Nazi-era gold stored in US and London banks even as their citizens went to war, the Warburg brothers on opposite sides of World War One, the Treaty of Versailles, and the argument that capitalism as we know it was essentially invented by the Dutch East India Company — followed by the British East India Company's opium smuggling and HSBC's alleged role laundering drug trade money during the Opium Wars. Dixon argues China is now winning this long-running "game" by a wide margin, that gains get privatized while losses get socialized, and that what he calls "corporate socialism" is really capitalism's system wearing a different mask. He closes with the claim that intelligence black operations have historically been funded through criminal enterprises — including sex trafficking, child trafficking, arms, and drugs — alongside a pointed comparison he draws between European colonization of America and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
