Norse Practice and The Role of the Völva with Emily Íviðja

Send us Fan Mail Emily Íviðja and I discuss the worship of the Norse deities, particularly their work with trolls and Angrboða. We go over the role of the völva in that community and how deeply that connects to nature. Emily also details the Norse Underworld and some of the beliefs surrounding death and the afterlife. Please note there was a bit of a lag so there are moments of bumpy editing to accommodate it. We felt awful since we accidentally kept speaking over each other.  Guest: Emily Íviðja  Check out their website at https://www.ulvwitch.com and their Instagram @ulv.witch. They often present at conferences and will post the next time they have something lined up.  TW: grief, death Host: Persephone Original Music by Persephone Original Art by Kalena Dobbs https://linktr.ee/KatabasisPodcast?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=f3406b1c-ba0d-40fc-b22e-197663b05724 Support the show
