God Centered Concept Academy The Best Calendar/Booking System ALL IN ONE to Automate All Your Processes In this episode of the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, TS Wright welcomes back biblical scholar and author Jamie Hulker for an in-depth conversation about women of the Bible and their place in God’s unfolding redemptive plan. Jamie explains that biblical accounts involving women should not be treated merely as side stories or subplots. From the creation account forward, Scripture repeatedly records women being called, positioned, and used by God at pivotal moments in biblical history. In this episode: Why women in Scripture are essential to understanding the larger biblical narrative The biblical foundation of male and female both being created in the image of God Why Jamie believes many important accounts involving women have been overlooked Deborah and Jael and their roles in the deliverance of Israel How Jael used what was available to her when the enemy came to her door Mary Magdalene and common misconceptions surrounding her biblical identity Phoebe in Romans 16 and the significance of Paul calling her diakonos Phoebe’s relationship to Paul and the delivery of the Book of Romans What Romans 16 reveals about Paul’s respect for women serving alongside him Euodia and Syntyche and their work with Paul in spreading the Gospel Why disagreements among believers do not erase their importance to ministry Esther’s courage, fasting, and willingness to risk her life for her people How Esther’s story connects to preservation, redemption, and the messianic promise Why the first question when studying Scripture should be, “What does this teach us about God?” Ruth’s decision to leave her former life and identify herself with Naomi, Israel, and the God of Israel Ruth and Boaz and their place in the lineage leading to King David and ultimately Jesus Christ Rahab’s transformation and her remarkable place within the redemptive story Why a person does not have to begin in perfection for God to use them The importance of surrender and allowing God to transform us as we follow Him How women and men have both been privileged to participate in God’s purposes throughout biblical history A God-Centered View of Scripture Jamie and TS also discuss an essential principle of biblical interpretation: Scripture is ultimately about God. Rather than beginning with the question, “What does this passage say about me?” believers should first ask: What does this reveal about God? Then: What does this reveal about God’s redemption and restoration of His creation? That perspective connects the individual accounts of people such as Esther, Ruth, Rahab, Deborah, Jael, and Phoebe to the greater biblical narrative culminating in Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. TS connects this principle with the God Centered Concept, emphasizing that God is the center of the biblical story and humanity is privileged to participate in what He is accomplishing.
