THE VICTORY - THE RESURRECTION Welcome back to KM AUDIOBOOKS. Episode 6: The Victory. The cross was not the end. Three days later, the tomb was empty. Christianity stands or falls on the resurrection. The Apostle Paul said in First Corinthians 15:14, "If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain." Is there evidence for the resurrection? Consider five facts accepted by almost all historians: First, Jesus died by crucifixion. Roman execution was certain. Second, He was buried in a known tomb, belonging to Joseph of Arimathea. The tomb was sealed and guarded by Roman soldiers. Third, on the third day, the tomb was empty. Even His enemies did not deny the tomb was empty. They said the disciples stole the body. But how could unarmed fishermen overcome Roman guards? Fourth, many people saw Him alive. Mary Magdalene. Peter. The twelve disciples. Once, over five hundred people at once, First Corinthians 15:6. Many of them were still alive when Paul wrote this, saying, go ask them. Fifth, the lives of the disciples were transformed. They went from cowards hiding in a room, to bold preachers who would die for what they saw. People do not die for what they know is a lie. Jesus rose physically. Not as a spirit. He ate fish with them. Thomas touched His wounds. What does the resurrection give us? One: Proof that our sin is paid. Romans 4:25 says He was "raised again for our justification." If Jesus was still in the tomb, it would mean God did not accept His sacrifice. But because He rose, it means the payment was accepted. Two: Power for a new life. Romans 6:4, "like as Christ was raised up from the dead... even so we also should walk in newness of life." Three: Hope for the future. Because He lives, we will live also. Death is not the end for the believer. It is a doorway. After His resurrection, He appeared for forty days. He restored Peter, who had denied Him. He taught on the road to Emmaus. Then He ascended into heaven. What is Jesus doing now? Hebrews 7:25 says, "He ever liveth to make intercession for them." Right now, at this moment, Jesus is praying for you. Ten days after He ascended, He sent the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, so that God could live not just with us, but IN us. Closing thought: The tomb is still empty. And because He lives, your life can be empty of fear, empty of guilt, and full of hope. This was Episode 6. In our final episode, Episode 7, we ask: How do you respond? Follow KM AUDIOBOOKS on Spotify. This is KM AUDIOBOOKS. EPISODE 7: THE RESPONSE - HOW TO BE SAVED Welcome to the final episode of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Brought to you by KM AUDIOBOOKS. Episode 7: The Response. We have heard about the need, the promise, the person, the message, the price, and the victory. Now comes the most personal question: What will YOU do with Jesus? The Bible says the Gospel must be received. It is not enough to understand it. You must respond to it. How do you respond? ADMIT that you are a sinner and you need a Savior. Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned." You cannot be saved until you know you need saving. Come honestly to God. Say, Lord, I have sinned against you. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Believe is not just intellectual. It is trust. Like you trust a parachute when you jump. Trust that His death on the cross was for you. His resurrection is your hope. CONFESS Him as your Lord. Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." To confess Him as Lord means to surrender control. To say, Jesus, I will no longer live for myself. I will live for you. You are my King. If you have never done this, you can do it right now, wherever you are. God is listening. Let me lead you in a prayer. This is not a magic formula. God looks at your heart. But you can pray something like this: Pray with me: "Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I have lived for myself. I need you. I believe that you are the Son of God and I accept you as my lord and savior. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and that you rose from the dead after three days Today, I turn from my sin and I invite you into my life. I confess you as my Lord and my Savior. Forgive me. Save me. Make me new. Thank you for dying for me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen." If you prayed that prayer from your heart, the Bible says you are now a child of God. John 1:12, "As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God." What next? One: Tell someone. Share what you have done. Two: Be baptized. It is your public declaration. Three: Start reading the Bible. Begin with the Gospel of John. I have included a 30-day reading plan in the book description. Four: Talk to God daily. That is prayer. Five: Find a Bible-believing church where the Gospel is preached. My friend, this is the Good News that changed the world. And it can change your world today.
