🩰 Emma Levene — Biography Emma Levene is a professional dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and performing arts coach based in East London, UK. She is the founder and artistic director of Double Twist Dance School and Double Twist Dance Company, where she trains students of all ages and abilities in ballet, contemporary, stretch, and performance.  🎭 Early Training & Education Emma started her dance training at a local ballet school in Walthamstow, specialising in: ​Classical ballet ​Modern ​Jazz ​Musical theatre ​Tap She continued her formal education with: ​GCSE Dance at school ​A BTEC Dance Diploma ​Further professional training at The Creative Academy Dance College in Slough, where she studied ballet, contemporary, choreography, and other dance styles ​Additional training in dance and musical theatre in North London Her training equipped her for a versatile performing career in stage, screen, and professional dance.  🎬 Professional Performance Career Emma has appeared in a wide range of professional dance, theatre, and media productions, including: ​Dancing at the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony ​Roles in stage shows such as Addams Family Musical ​Ballet productions including Beatrix Potter ​Circus tours ​Film appearances including Fantastic Beasts ​TV adverts and music videos ​Performances at venues such as Hackney Empire and Millfield Theatre ​Shows at Zee Carnivals at Olympia Her credits span both live theatre and screen, showcasing her broad range as a performer and movement specialist.  🧑‍🏫 Teaching & Choreography Emma’s teaching career began as an assistant ballet teacher, and she has since progressed to lead classes for: ​Children (from age 4) ​Teenagers ​Adults (including adult ballet and contemporary) ​Neurodiverse and non-neurodiverse dancers alike She offers: ​Private and group classes ​Ballet & contemporary dance lessons ​Core strength and stretch training ​Choreography for performances and events ​Performance opportunities through her academy Her teaching philosophy focuses on inclusive dance education for all ages and skill levels.  💪 Overcoming Personal Challenges Emma has publicly spoken about her journey with Dyspraxia (Developmental Co-ordination Disorder) — a condition that affects motor coordination — and how dance remained a central part of her life despite physical challenges.
