Description
In this episode, I sit down with trauma therapist Aliza Tropper to talk about something so many of us try to avoid: going back.
We want to heal. We want to grow. We want to be spiritual. We want to move forward. But sometimes, moving forward requires understanding what happened behind us.
Aliza explains why our triggers aren’t random. They’re often pointing us toward parts of ourselves that still need to be understood, felt, and healed. And true spirituality isn’t about rising above our emotions or pretending we’re unaffected by things. It’s about knowing ourselves deeply enough to understand why we react the way we do.
That conversation naturally brought us into astrology and why I love it so much, not as something that defines us, but as another tool for understanding ourselves. Our strengths. Our struggles. Our patterns. The places that come easily to us and the places where we’re being asked to grow.
Because the more you understand yourself, the less you have to fight yourself.
And sometimes the way forward really does begin by looking back.
