In this episode, Amy and Monique settle in for an honest conversation about the season of life they’re both in. They pull a card from Larry Armstead’s tarot deck, which blends Human Design with traditional tarot, and The Sun shows up for them. It felt like the perfect mirror for where they are right now, because so much of their journey has been about letting go of the versions of ourselves that worked hard to be acceptable and allowing who they really are to be seen. They talk about how being more authentic in their work, on this podcast, and in their lives has drawn in people who truly resonate with them, including the beautiful women they met at the DayLuna retreat. They also share what they learned from their last experiment with Determination, where Amy explored her direct light and Monique explored her alternating appetite, and then they introduce their new experiment with Cognition. Amy's working with smell cognition, so she's paying attention to what she's thinking and feeling before a smell, what happens in her body when it arrives, and what she does or feels shortly after. Monique has inner vision cognition, and she’s noticing how often she dismisses the images and impressions that come to her, what they look like, and how they feel. Along the way, they talk about the tender side of deconditioning, the grief that comes with releasing old versions of themselves, and why they believe those past selves deserve to be honored for carrying them here. In this episode, Amy and Monique sit down for an another honest conversation about what's been unfolding in their lives and work. There's no formal intro again, just two friends talking about what they're learning through Human Design and astrology, and how they're actually living it. Amy shares what's been happening in her business, including the completion of two group containers exploring specific astrological placements and Human Design elements, a new certification program she's beginning in astrological timing, and her upcoming workshop, Written in You (see more below). Monique brings back stories from the High Desert Human Design Conference in Santa Fe, where she presented her talk, "Projector Hacks: 9 Centered Relating," on how projectors can stay true to themselves while relating to others. From there, the conversation turns to structure. Amy reflects on leaving a long corporate banking career for entrepreneurship and how she felt at first without the structure she'd always known. Monique offers a different perspective, since her design approaches structure in a completely different way. Together they explore how a design that leans left and a design that leans right with a defined G each learn, build, and create in their own way, and why knowing that can make living it easier. They also share the experiment they've been living together, inspired by Vanessa Henry's work with the four arrows at the top of the Human Design chart. Amy has been experimenting with only doing what feels light, and Monique has been practicing the pause before she defaults to her familiar ways of doing things. Both of them were surprised by how simple and eye opening it's been, and they talk about the next phase, where Amy will explore smell and Monique will explore inner vision.
