Mack Memories: Johnny Rodger

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Brace yourselves for this one, because there are few people who can get deeply deeply nerdy with me about the Mack and all its myriad interpretations and affects as Johnny Rodger. We prob could have talked all day, but here is the edited version and its still around 45 minutes! Johnny is a writer, critic and Professor of Urban Literature at the Glasgow School of Art who has authored several essays and books, including The Housing Film (Edin Uni Press, 2024), and Glasgow Cool of Art (The Drouth, 2022). The latter is his own rather philosophical recollection of experiencing the Mack Library. He writes regularly in press, magazines and journals, has made numerous TV and radio appearances and scripted films. He is co-founding editor of The Drouth literary arts journal.
