Why AUDHD Entrepreneurs Need Different Business Strategies to Thrive
Special "Business Revenue Leak Checklist" offer free at http://www.mrse.co/leak. What happens when conventional business advice actually works against your neurodivergent brain? Alex Owen-Hill shares how his AUDHD diagnosis transformed his business strategy—revealing why AUDHD entrepreneurs need to hire help earlier, embrace hyperfixation cycles, and work inside their comfort zone. Guest Bio: Alex Owen-Hill probably shouldn't have a bio like this. Bios like this are supposed to tell you what someone does, who they help, and why they're "The Best" in language that sounds impressive, polished, and businessy… but that could be said by almost anyone and could frankly be spat out by an AI. Which is exactly the opposite of Alex's values and mission: helping people sound more like their glorious, unique selves. Now for a bunch of impressive-sounding labels: Voice and speaker coach, voice researcher, physical comedian, and professional clown, trained at the notoriously demanding École Philippe Gaulier, where being boring is the highest unforgivable sin. A plethora of voice certifications including Gender-Affirming Voice Work, Emotional Vocal Expression, and Neuroscience and Voice. Also currently completing an MA in Voice research specialising in Neurodivergent Voice and Workplace Masking. As an ADHD-autistic, Alex creates clown shows about neurodivergence and difference. In business, Alex's work has always been a bridge between the authentic world of performers and the "normal" business world. A PhD in robotics from a previous life has led to over a decade of experience in content marketing and strategy for tech businesses… an industry where companies increasingly all sound exactly like each other. For years, trying to follow the right business advice was actively working against Alex's brain and thwarted business growth. All the frameworks, funnels, and best-practice teachings deeply violated the values and mission. It's only when Alex decided to rebel against the business advice that things started to align… Connect with Alex Owen-Hill LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/alexowenhill Website: https://alexowenhill.co.uk/ Resources or websites mentioned in this episode: Mirasee Credits: Host: Meredith Eisenberg Editor: Marvin Del Rosario Executive Producer: Danny Iny To catch the great episodes coming up on Making It, please follow us on Mirasee FM's YouTube channel or your favorite podcast player.
