Yuki-Onna — Lafcadio Hearn | 31 Days of Horror: Night Five

A freezing night. A woman in white. A promise that must never be broken. When two woodcutters seek refuge from a violent snowstorm, young Minokichi awakens to a terrifying visitor known as Yuki-Onna—the Woman of the Snow. She allows him to live on one condition: he must never tell another soul what happened that night. Years later, Minokichi finally breaks his silence. Night Five of Midnight Murmurs: 31 Days of Horror. Tonight’s story: “Yuki-Onna” by Lafcadio Hearn, originally published in Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Things (1904).
