What would happen if we truly believed our prayers could change lives and bring people back to God? James teaches us to turn to God in every circumstance, trust in the power of prayer, seek healing and restoration, and lovingly pursue those who have wandered from the Lord.

We enter a danger zone when we allow the love of money and riches to become our “god.” If someone looked at the way you and I spend, save, give, and use our possessions, would they see someone who is living for the “scratch” or someone who is investing in eternity? What plans do we make for tomorrow that are hindering us from trusting God today? What happens to your faith when you don’t get your way? Real faith is revealed in how we respond to conflict, unmet expectations, and difficult people. If we choose to walk in humility, submit to God, and draw near to Him, Jesus becomes more visible in us. What if the real test of wisdom isn’t how much you know, but how you live? God is telling us in the passage of James that true wisdom isn’t proven by what we say; it's revealed by the way we treat people, handle adversity, and live everyday life.
