Missions and the Heart of God

October 18, 2026 Dr. Jon Hardin What does the story of Jonah teach us about God’s heart for the world? In Jonah 1–4, God pursues both a reluctant prophet and a rebellious city, revealing His remarkable mercy and desire for people to turn to Him. This familiar story challenges us to see beyond our own comfort and embrace God’s mission to make the good news of Jesus known to every nation. In this message from our "Fort the Sake of the World" series, we explore: How God’s mercy reaches people we might struggle to love Why God calls His people to take the gospel to those who have never heard How every follower of Jesus has a part to play in His mission Three questions to help align our lives with God’s heart: How’s your posture, your hearing, and your sense of direction? God’s mission isn’t reserved for a select few missionaries or gifted evangelists. He invites every one of us to use our gifts, relationships, and everyday opportunities to share the hope of Jesus with the people around us and across the world. 📖 Scripture: Jonah 1–4 ✨ Series: For the Sake of the World ⛪ Learn more about Mosaic: https://www.welcometomosaic.com #BookOfJonah #GreatCommission #Missions #NeighborAndNations #MosaicChurch
