On today’s Nagara Radio, Charnjit Brar opens the phone lines for a candid conversation with callers about municipal elections, political leadership and accountability. The discussion focuses on the importance of participating in municipal elections and understanding the people seeking to represent local communities.Charnjit raises a central question: Are politicians entering public office because they genuinely want to bring change, or are personal interests, salaries and political careers becoming the priority?Along with callers, he examines the positions candidates and elected officials take on important issues and questions whether politicians are working in the interests of all Canadians or focusing primarily on the communities and groups they personally represent. The conversation also explores what voters should expect from their elected representatives, the importance of accountability after an election and why residents should look beyond campaign promises when deciding who they want representing them. It’s an open discussion about municipal elections, representation, accountability and what genuine public service should look like on Nagara Radio with Charnjit Brar.
