Under the esoteric influence: Author Mark Booth on the formative impact of non-human intelligence

Human progress, from the very beginning, has been shaped by outside intelligences pursuing an unknown agenda by provoking innovation and inspiring experiencers to break old molds. On this episode, I interview author Mark Booth about his studies of esoterica and his long-running assertions that secret wisdom-keepers have maintained a rogue academic lineage through millennia. We also explore how great scientists often report contact experiences with some form of alien intelligence that often sparks their greatest ideas or hands down ready-made mathematical formula. We survey a number of such scientists, examine the commonalities, and dissect what this means about the nature of reality, and of our species. We then consider who these other intelligences might be, and how their prodding has led us to this inportant historical moment when technology seems poised to either poison or save the world.
