Today’s reading takes us to Acts 2:1–21, where God’s timing, presence, and power converge at Pentecost. The Spirit comes with the familiar imagery of wind and fire, but now the presence of God is not resting on a mountain or dwelling in a tabernacle—it is filling His people. And Luke makes it unmistakable: all of them were filled, empowered not for spectacle, but to become witnesses. Pasted text Pasted text Pasted text
Acts 2 reminds us that God is rewriting the story. What was fractured at Babel begins to be answered as the nations hear the mighty works of God in their own languages, and Peter refuses to make the supernatural moment the center—he points everyone back to the Word. So today, read Acts 2:1–21 and remember: the Spirit fills, the nations hear, the witness speaks, and the promise points us to Christ. History changes when God comes to dwell in His people.
