Richard Has A New Podcast Friend And Jamie Is Not Okay
Richard went to Download with his mate. He enjoyed it so much he invited said mate to contribute via voice note — a special guest addition that Jamie was not consulted on and is not happy about. There is a new podcast friend. Jamie is hurt. The friendship is being evaluated. On the music: Limp Bizkit were genuinely great. Guns N Roses were comically bad. Linkin Park were frustratingly bad. Richard has thoughts on all of it and his mate has thoughts via voice note whether Jamie likes it or not. Richard's hill: camping chairs should be allowed at festivals. Jamie mocks him instantly. Richard doesn't care — he turns it into a broader and entirely justified rant about Live Nation, their festival rules, and the case for better disabled access at live events. The chair is fine. The system is the problem. Jamie went to a wedding in France in 40 degree heat, made a mad dash to pick his child up after landing back in the UK, and has been watching Clarkson's Farm — which comes with the complication of having complicated feelings about Jeremy Clarkson. Ride or Die on Amazon also gets a mention. Then there's a bolt on — Richard talks about Bloodstock, a total contrast to Download in every conceivable way. Richard also advertises Invention, a new Derby festival worth knowing about. The advert goes so well that Jamie and Richard formally invite VPN companies and mattress brands to get in touch. They will not be getting in touch.
