When Fear Takes the Lead

Pastors James and Robby discuss David’s life after defeating Goliath, as Saul’s jealousy drives him into the wilderness and fear leads him to deceive the priest Ahimelech. They trace the consequences of that choice, consider David’s grief and trust in God through Psalms 34 and 56, and connect the story to Jesus’ defense of his disciples and his own truthfulness under arrest. The episode also explores the difference between solitude and isolation, how private choices affect others, and how confession and repentance can guide a response to wrongdoing.
