George Bowie

This week on Not Another Football Podcast, we’re joined by legendary Scottish radio DJ George Bowie. George sits down with Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly to look back on an incredible 38-year career in radio, from his early days at Radio Clyde to becoming one of the most recognisable voices in Scottish broadcasting. He reflects on how his journey in radio began, the experiences that shaped his career and the rise of GBX, which has become a huge part of Scotland’s dance music scene. George also shares some brilliant stories from behind the microphone, revealing the best and worst guests he’s interviewed over the years and some of the unforgettable moments from nearly four decades on the airwaves. Away from music and radio, George talks about his lifelong love of Greenock Morton, his passion for football and what supporting his hometown club means to him. A brilliant conversation packed with stories about football, music, radio and the characters George has met throughout his remarkable career.
