One Change in History: The Fight to Set Time Right with Author Thomas White

My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Thomas White, author of the book The Edison Enigma. Tom began his career as an actor. Several years later, he became the Artistic Director of a theatre in Los Angeles and won several Drama-Logue and Critics’ awards for directing. He directed and co-produced the world tour of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Coming Out Of Their Shells.” The show toured for over two years, was translated into seven different languages, and was seen by close to a million children. Tom served as President and Creative Director at Maiden Lane Entertainment for 24 years and worked on many large-scale productions for clients including Harley-Davidson, Microsoft, Medtronic Diabetes, and dozens of others. The Edison Enigma is Tom's third novel following up Justice Rules (which was a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Literary Contest) and The Siren's Scream, a Four Seasons Book Award Winner. Tom was voted Author of the Year by the International Impact Book Awards, and The Edison Enigma won Best Fiction from the same organization. The Edison Enigma also won Best Fiction with the Outstanding Creator Awards.   In my book review, I stated The Edison Enigma is suspenseful science fiction written by Thomas White. I enjoyed this book that was both futuristic and historical.   We meet Tom Edison, no relation, a physicist on the cutting edge of time travel. However, before long, what he has discovered falls into the hands of someone who doesn't want to use it for good. Tom is thrust back in time to the early 1900s, where we see Chicago and Washington DC as they existed over 100 years ago - but with the knowledge of what is going to happen in the future.   Time travel books can be confusing to me as I try to understand the potential science behind it, the ramifications of tweaking history, and the morality of the idea. Thomas did a great job exploring each of these in a way that was fun and refreshing. Plus, the characters are well-devloped, the history is facsinating, and the storyline will keep you on the edge of your seat.   I read this fast-paced book in one sitting, and for someone who isn't a sci-fi fan, that says a lot! Definitely add this one to your list.     Subscribe to Online for Authors to learn about more great books! https://www.youtube.com/@onlineforauthors?sub_confirmation=1   You can follow Author Thomas White Website: https://thomas-white-author.com/ FB: @inkydan IG: @thomaswhiteauthor Substack: @thomaswhiteauthor   Purchase The Edison Enigma on Amazon: Paperback: https://amzn.to/3V8PCLr Ebook: https://amzn.to/4yajDZE   Teri M Brown, Author and Podcast Host: https://www.terimbrown.com FB: @TeriMBrownAuthor IG: @terimbrown_author X: @terimbrown1   Want to be a guest on Online for Authors?
