Ben De La Creme on Jinkx Monsoon, Aging and RuPaul in the Wild

This week on Only Child, Bob the Drag Queen sits down with BenDeLaCreme: drag icon, writer, director, Christmas mogul, and apparently former Dunkin’ Donuts thief. DeLa and Bob get into growing up queer, surviving decades in heels, the surprisingly real origin of DeLa’s signature mole, and how a visual arts kid became one of drag’s most prolific writers. DeLa also gets into creating the Jinkx & DeLa holiday universe, writing their new book, and what it actually takes to maintain a friendship and creative partnership with Jinkx Monsoon. Plus: Bob confronts DeLa for stealing Monét, DeLa judges Bob and Taylor’s sculptures, RuPaul sightings in the wild, terrible LA social planning, a deeply questionable Dunkin’ Donuts employment history, and one food opinion that may finally turn the entire audience against her.
