The AllPlay Small Box Tier List

Matching Captain Kirk shirts was supposed to be the whole bit, but we end up going way deeper than Halloween vibes. We start with what actually hit our tables this week, including My Island and why its fast campaign structure makes it weirdly easy to say “one more game” even on a tired night. From there we get into lighter, high-energy picks like Sky Five and the frantic dexterity scramble of Ninja Master.  Then we switch gears into a full review of Horrified Dungeons & Dragons Ravenloft. We talk through what’s familiar about the Horrified system, what the Ravenloft setting adds, and how the d20 encounters and Dark Gifts change the feel of the co-op puzzle. We also get honest about swingy moments, theme buy-in, and why the “monster puzzle” is the real reason to choose one Horrified box over another.  Finally, we tackle the big mission objective: an S-through-D tier list of AllPlay small box games. We debate what belongs in the top tier, highlight sleeper hits, and call out the designs that just don’t land for us.
