96. Navigating Uncertainty: The Philosophy of Orientation - Douglas Giles

When the world feels overwhelmingly complex, outrage becomes an easy shortcut. It offers an instant—if temporary—feeling of certainty, control, and moral superiority. But what if our explosive reactions to political and social differences aren't just about the issues themselves, but about how we orient ourselves amid uncertainty? In this episode, David sits down with philosopher and educator Dr. Douglas Giles to explore the philosophy of orientation—a practical diagnostic lens for understanding how we make sense of our environment, construct identity, and navigate interpersonal conflict.
