Description
Peter asks Jesus a very human question: How many times do I really have to forgive?
Jesus’ answer pushes beyond counting and into a deeper question about what grace does to us. In this reflection on Matthew 18:21–35, Pastor Travis Wilson considers forgiveness, accountability, resentment, and the freedom that comes when grace begins to reshape the way we see one another.
Using the image of a sheep that jumps right back into the ditch after being rescued—and the image of a choir listening for the note that brings different voices into harmony—this reflection asks what it might mean to live as people who know what mercy sounds like.
