For an activity, Set up an obstacle course for your child. You can either take them to a park and make a course with the play equipment or set something up inside your home. This will help your child in many ways. Not only will it help them develop their gross and fine motor skills and their balance, but it will also help them cognitively. Doing obstacle courses can help them with memory by remembering multi step directions, problem-solving by figuring out how to get past an obstacle, and even motor planning by figuring out how they need to move their body. Make sure the cheer them on to build up their confidence and self esteem and support them when an obstacle is hard so they learn to emotionally regulate.
