Description
A behind-the-scenes look at the groundbreaking exhibit titled Contemporary Pueblo Architecture, Restorying our Heartplaces.
That project, which debuted at Indigenous Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque - created the foundation for this series. Dr. Lynn Paxson and Dr. Jojola share their decade-long journey to insure Indigenous representation in the fields of architecture, planning, and design including the tools (do you know what a plumb-bob is? They have an ancient one), narratives, luminaries, and some stunning films. The exhibit is on the move - traveling to the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2027 - and more plans are in the works.
Produced by The Aunties Dandelion and the Indigenous Design and Planning Institute at the University of New Mexico. #PuebloArchitecture #IndigenousDesign #IndigenousPlanning #Indigenousartexhibit #venicebiennale2027 Host: Dr. Ted Jojola (Isleta Pueblo) Director/Producer: Kahstoserakwathe Paulette Moore, (Kanyen'keha:ka, The Aunties Dandelion) Production Managers: Tamara Louks (The Aunties Dandelion), Megan Joe (iD+Pi) Marketing (U.S.) Anna Dykman, UNM Marketing (Canada) Kattie Laur Camera and Editing: Sunshine Eaton and Avery Hale (The Berry Pickers) Audio Engineer: Mariana Hutten
