Wild Horse Nine: dark, funny and entertaining

Martin McDonagh delivers another brilliant cinematic two-hander with John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell at the centre of Wild Horse Nine. CIA agents Chris (Malkovich) and Lee (Rockwell) head from Santiago to Easter Island (Rapanui), shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup. Amongst the Island's iconic statues, the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, while Chris's bond with a pair of rebellious students complicates an already complex trip. From its sharp wit to masterful performances and unpredictable events, Leigh and Tim unpack this deeply layered and dark look at life, our choices and how we live with them. This is Leigh’s triumphant return to the podcast and an episode you won’t want to miss.
