The weekly theme “joke thief” leads into favorite comedians and bits, especially Mitch Hedberg and Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette and Douglas, plus reflections on humor in teaching, Appalachian wordplay, “redneck” comedy, dad jokes, and dark jokes. The mood shifts to concern over a Lexington, Kentucky company’s “shock gloves” ordered by ICE and fears about police misuse. Beck recommends the 2007 dark comedy horror film Teeth for its treatment of rape culture, criticizes Super Troopers 2, previews a short break due to a new job, plugs their Queerneck YouTube channel with a QWOP segment, and ends with stories about teens trying to look cool and makeup mishaps. 00:00 Youtube 00:11 Opening 00:49 Barbers & Small Towns 04:39 Astrology Deep Dive 09:18 Comedy: Mitch Hedberg & Standup 13:49 Pets & Astrology 14:12 Hannah Gadsby & Comedy Analysis 20:49 Redneck Humor & Jeff Foxworthy 34:19 Movies: Teeth & Horror Comedy 40:48 Politics & WeRateDogs 43:09 Work Announcement & Break
