The Wisdom of Joy

Proverbs 8 paints a picture of wisdom that looks nothing like the stoic sage on a mountaintop. This wisdom was beside God as a master craftsman at creation — laughing, playing, delighting in humanity before a single person had done anything to earn it. In this message, Pastor David connects that picture to Jesus Himself — the wisdom of God — and asks what it means that creation emerged in an atmosphere of delight. He explores why true joy is inherently undignified, why preserving your dignity might be the very thing limiting the flow of obedience in your life, and how gratitude becomes the small step that moves us from where we are into the kind of joy that actually strengthens us. This isn't about manufacturing a feeling. It's about reorienting how you see the world you live in — and discovering that the God who made you is not stoic, distant, or somber. He's rejoicing. Over you.
