Description
Are you struggling to find where you belong in a new season of life? Have you ever stepped away from a familiar role, ministry, or community and suddenly felt like the new kid at school?
In Episode 75 of Rooted & Rested, The New Girl at 57, I'm sharing my experience of leaving nine years of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) leadership and beginning again in a new class. Although I had peace about stepping away from leadership, I wasn't prepared for how uncomfortable it would feel to leave familiar friendships and routines behind.
As I learn to trust God's purpose in this unfamiliar season, I'm discovering the importance of listening to others, valuing the wisdom of older women, and recognizing that our purpose doesn't disappear when our responsibilities change.
And when I almost skipped Bible study one morning, a prompting from the Holy Spirit led to unexpected conversations, meaningful connections, and a reminder that God can be working even when we don't see the bigger picture.
Through 1 Corinthians 12:18, Psalm 71:18, and Proverbs 3:5–6, we'll explore finding belonging, trusting God's plan, embracing life's transitions, and learning to receive His encouragement.
If you're navigating change, feeling out of place, or wondering what God has for you in this season, I hope this episode reminds you that your story matters and God hasn't forgotten you.
