Description
Kubota Canada says it’s working to limit the impact of tariffs and counter-tariffs on its dealers and customers. The equipment distributor says ongoing trade uncertainty is creating challenges for both the company and the broader industry. Kubota Canada president Yannick Montagano tells Rural Roots Canada that having inventory already in Canada is a key part of its strategy to manage the situation. “It's ensuring that we have the inventory here on Canadian soil to meet the demand of our customers for what we think is going to be potentially the duration of this particular phase.” The company says it’s also monitoring trade developments and preparing to adapt as conditions change. When it comes to specific equipment, Kubota says power units are a particular focus because of their importance to customers. “Those are the big-ticket items for our customers. And this time around, there's one particular category that has been affected by counter-tariffs, and that's the one that we, you know, focus most of our effort to ensure that we're mitigating that impact for our customers and dealers.”
