Carrie takes us to the prom, Florence Pugh takes us East of Eden, and Tom Cruise makes us dig with Digger

Boy, is it a week of TV and movies to talk about. But first, Dan confesses to his mortality concerns with Sydney's moth swarms (yes, really). Then it's on to the good stuff: Carrie (Prime Video): Mike Flanagan turns Stephen King's debut novel into an eight-episode series, with Summer H. Howell as Carrie White and Samantha Sloyan as her mother. East of Eden (Netflix): Florence Pugh plays Cathy Ames in Zoe Kazan's seven-part adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel. Digger (in cinemas now): Tom Cruise and director Alejandro G. Iñárritu team up for a satirical black comedy about an energy tycoon who has to save the world from a disaster of his own making. What even is this movie about?
