Semowi News – September 2026

One of our biggest new projects is goat cheese. The milk is coming in, guests are loving our fresh homemade cheese, a proper milking stand is being built, and we now have a dedicated little fridge so we can start experimenting with feta, halloumi and, eventually, aged cheeses. And then September gave us a huge surprise: rain! A completely unexpected rainy day at this time of year, which also created problems with our solar system. With very little sunshine to recharge the batteries, we had to buy a new generator in an emergency. And something a little more fun is on the way: a brand-new collection of Semowi T-shirts! New designs inspired by life here in the Okavango are coming soon, giving our guests a little piece of Semowi to take home with them. Between goats, cheese, disappearing sunshine, new T-shirts, and everyday life on the edge of the Okavango Delta, here are the latest stories from Semowi.
