Recharge | The Global Church: Christians of Rome

How did a movement of poor and ordinary people become one that the Roman emperors could not stop? In this episode, Pastor Chad Mason begins a brief run-through of church history as part of our Global Church series. He picks up where Acts 19 leaves off, follows Paul’s missionary journeys through Romans 15, and walks through the waves of persecution that led to the Edict of Toleration and the messy story of Constantine. Along the way, Chad asks what changes when following Jesus no longer costs anything, and he shares a moving story from his recent trip to Turkey about an Iranian believer reaching his homeland with the Gospel. It’s a reminder that the faith we hold today was handed to us at great cost. Part of our Global Church series at FBC Boerne. https://www.fbcboerne.org/sermons/ https://www.facebook.com/fbcboerne
