Sunday Sermon | The Gospel of Mark: Listen to Him

Six days after Peter declared, "You are the Christ," and then couldn't accept what Jesus said would come next, the disciples are still reeling. So Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a mountain, and everything changes. In this message from our study through the Gospel of Mark, Youth Pastor Garrett McCord looks at Mark 9:1-13, where Jesus is transfigured before his closest disciples and a voice from the cloud says, "This is my son, whom I love. Listen to him." Garrett walks through how God comforts his disciples in the middle of shattered expectations: by helping them see Jesus clearly, trust his character, submit to his authority, and keep trusting even when following him hurts.
